Leading Chemical Provider Finds the Right Solution Second Time Around
Business Need
After an unsuccessful vendor relationship with its previous RPO provider, a large chemical manufacturer sought a partner to assist in recruiting for its entry level hiring in the United States. The current process was primarily reactionary and did not allow recruiters enough time to allocate to each job. As a result, jobs often sat for months with no activity. On-boarding was also a challenge and the company sought help to effectively manage their current system. To boost efficiency, streamline the entire process and gain a proactive hiring edge, the company came to The RightThing.
Our Strategy
Since company hiring was based on a decentralized process, The RightThing worked with their hiring staff to better understand their pain points and key areas that needed improvement. From there, a scalable, streamlined staffing process was designed, built and implemented to support the company’s current and future staffing needs.
While end-to-end process efficiencies were made across the board, The RightThing provided significant process improvement in the area of on-boarding. By supporting this time intensive component of the process for all parties, a centralized, electronic communication was implemented internally that tracked each candidate, stored pertinent information, provided new hire checklists and assigned tasks each staff member must complete. To ensure complete efficiency, a tickler system was put in place to monitor completion percentage and process bottlenecks.
